case study 1 - MaTRIMONIAL PROCEEDINGS

Approached by a partner currently in the process of divorcing who thought some assets were not being truthfully disclosed in the matrimonial proceedings. We undertook a detailed asset portfolio identifying multiple undisclosed accounts, including crypto accounts. Our client was able to successfully recover our fees in the settlement as a result of the misrepresentation by her former husband.

CASE STUDY 2 - CORPORATE EMBEZZLEMENT RECOVERY

This was a subsequent step to a fraud investigation which had identified embezzlement by a former employee (a Finance Director). We undertook an asset portfolio identifying assets in both the UK and mainland Europe. The knowledge was used to form a strategy for enforcement and in settlement negotiations, and both parties avoided costly court hearings.

CASE STUDY 3 - PROVENANCE RESEARCH

A company seeking to acquire assets with a Russian nexus sought to verify the provenance of some alleged debt holders. Given the sanctions imposed on Russia, the acquisition was frought with risk around compliance. We undertook KYC, sanction checks and provenance research on the debt holders to verify their claims.
